The Research Group on Graphs and Social Networks (GraphNets) will organize the international workshop Social Network Analysis in Romania – SoNAR 2019.

The GraphNets group will the 4th European Conference on Social Networks (EUSN 2019) held in Zurich, 9-12 September 2019. The conference brought together researchers and practitioners from the social sciences in the broad sense as well as statistics, computer science, data science, physics, economics, humanities, and other areas dealing with network science.

The GraphNets group will attend, from 1st to 5th of July, the 10th edition of the Summer Course on Personal Networks, held by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain. The event was a great occasion for students, academics and even non-academic people to find out about how and why social networks, especially personal networks, influence our everyday life in society.

The ICONIC International Workshop ANALYZING MULTIPLE NETWORKS FROM DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES continues in Bucharest with a second address of Professor Jose Luis Molina about Whole, personal or egocentric networks? What do we know about personal networks and why it matters.

ICONIC International Workshop ANALYZING MULTIPLE NETWORKS FROM DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES is part of the project Longitudinal analysis of coauthorship networks and citations in academia (iCoNiC), implemented by the Research Group on Graphs and Social Networks (GraphNets), University of Bucharest, from 2018 to 2020. Project director: Marian-Gabriel Hâncean. The event will begin in Timișoara, at the International Conference of the Romanian Sociologists Society, Living in a liquid society, held at the West University of Timisoara with the keynote address of professor Jose Luis Molina about the Whole, personal or egocentric networks? What do we know about personal networks and why it matters and will end with a workshop on semantic networks held by Adina Nergheș in Bucharest.

4 members of the GraphNets group will soon attend XXXVIII Sunbelt Conference, June 26-July 1, 2018. The participation to the conference is possible through the ICONIC Project. The projects is implemented by Research Group on Graphs and Social Networks (GraphNets), University of Bucharest, from 2018 to 2020.
